Some of those taking care of the Christmas lights during this period, are charities. This can be taken quite literally in the case of the organisation “Light for the World”. They have been fighting against blindness for 20 years now, and are providing eye care in Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. Essentially providing the local communities with the prospect of a better life.
